Depends on the soldier... some are ignorant conscripts, scared sh!tless and deserving of sympathy once they offer no further threat.
Of course not, and a lot of them will be 100% Putin's own thugs, deserving everything they get; but others are as I describe above.

Nothing to what Ukraine is suffering, in effect fighting for our freedom.
I favour bombing the Kremlin now, but miltary experts think sanctions will help for now. I support our side Western democracy & if we have to suffer, it is our duty not to complain.
