Apparently HMG have already received letters from various high end London lawyers threaten HMG that any move against the 100 or so Russian billionaires with property &/or financial interests in the U.K. will be illegal and will be fought through the courts
Lawyers would love to get in there now for a slice of the cake before it's all gone.

The situation in Ukraine is of course not as clear cut as the western media would have you believe. However, I'm not going to comment as most people don't want to hear it.

Perhaps it would be better to remember the words of the great Carl Sagan

“Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbour life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

Europe buys $200m of gas and $300m of oil from Russia per DAY

Not going to risk civil unrest
Yep and the states buy 200,000 barrels of oil from Russia every year and are still buying it now!

Russia holds all the cards.

Its only Boris that is quite happy to send the UK back into a 1930's depression whilst the rest of the world carry's on dealing with Russia..

I haven't read through the whole thread . . . . . but have we worked out what the hell is actually going on over there? We arent seeing much of anything in reality . . . . . very strange stuff.
Ukraine government have asked for as little as possible to be shown/posted online or the Russians could know strategic Ukrainian positions etc

All the other country's are still dealing with/buying from Russia yet Boris wants the UK to buy nothing from Russia.

Unless you want power cuts/ rationing and living standards like the 1930's that is simply not possible due to the stupid green etc policy's Boris and former PM's have embarked on the last 20 years!

Seriously though,
those reports with the fleeing misplaced people, worried parents with the little children with such innocent looks on their faces ,
how sad a place the World still is .
Afghanistan last year was the most desperate I’ve ever seen people, selling their children for plane tickets, throwing babies at the army to take the babies on planes etc..
