A livable planet. 4 how long? At the mo we burn fossil fuels & r destroying our supportive world!
We need 2 @JustStop_Oil
and @GoVegan ref IPCC 2022
the irony is though the GoVegan campaign will be very much funded by corporate and oil money.

Going vegan will not do anything to save the planet. Just stopping oil will not happen overnight,

Like @SilliamWhale said it will evolve over time. The sooner the better. However, corporate and oil money are doing all they can to slow down the transition.

This isn’t Twitter so nothing will happen with your stupid “@lookatmyvirtuesignalling” tags.

If you think going vegan will be in any way good for humankind or the environment, then you are a moron.

Difficult to deal with the truth. No one has any sources to support their assertions. Just abuse, anger and visceral opinion. Basically the climate is f**ked, feed supply is problematic with drought, floods and wind damage in ever increasing frequency and intensity. Welcome to a climate crisis. Then again we could do something about it but that would require change thought and enterprise.

We don't though.

We are not destroying our supportive world at all. Humans have never had it more comfortable, been richer or live as long and as healthy.

A lot of the climate change fanatics are jumping onto a cause to give them a feeling of self worth.

🥱

yep your 3rd sentence sums up what your contributions to this thread will inevitably end as.

Out of interest what do you do to alleviate climate change? Glue yourself to roads, make a load of noise and protest about everything, or just quietly change what you do without fanfare and be content that your doing a bit better than you were?

No such thing as the "climate is F*cked". It doesn't make sense. Bjorn Lomborg and Shellenberger say there are way less deaths from drought, flooding and storms than there used to be.

The climate is do f**ked that we had a lovely last Summer, an average and not too wet Winter for a change followed by an average Spring, although it froze last night even here on the West Wales coast, which is rather unusual. Perhaps last night’s frost and slight hail shower during the day was the result of climate change, but I doubt it very much.

There is NO increased frequency or intensity of storms compared to any sustained period or substantial geographical area you care to mention in the last 120 years. Even the IPPC admit this.
You are in cloud-cuckoo-land. The asylum being your next stop unless you get a grip and face reality rather than hysteria.

People have opinions others use scientific evidence. Indeed scientific modelling by NASA projects severe reductions in crop yields. Looks like humans are having it too comfortable and need to change.

From the lies and denial in your reply I imagine that you have not read the IPCC report. The Daily Fail version is quite accessible though.

Scientific modelling means nothing. I've learnt that from covid. Johnathan Porritt said 30 years ago we would be screwed by 2020 and he was wrong then and is wrong now. Humans evolve and adapt all the time

The truth is you want to self flagellate because you are feeling in guilty or you like to respond to a "higher" cause. Extinction Rebellion etc are like religious cult.

Yet crop yields have demonstrably increased due to higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere compared with 50 years ago. The only reason for crop yields anywhere to decline over the next year is the lack of planting in Ukraine and the cost of fertiliser everywhere, which will particularly hit poorer countries. They will neither be able to afford to optimise yields nor to import food to compensate.
