BPS early ?

I wonder how this will affect those who have been considering wether or not the Exit Scheme proposals fit their circumstances - that scheme currently can be applied for after this advance …..?
Maybe an early Exit application would get half in July to go along with the flying pigs…

It is not extra money, just some you would be getting earlier, however it states from the end of July. But what are the actual chances of actually getting it earlier by the time the civil service have got to install an extra program and trained people up, it will probably be December anyway! I think it is just a gimmick to try and lure people into buying fertiliser, which by the end of the months new season terms will be announced. If businesses have got genuine financial problems now, think how bad it will be in 12 months time, chucking money at the problem is not going to help.

What do you reckon are the chances that they can work out what 50% is by July, they always struggle to do it by November!

I might be out on a limb here but i have always received my subsidy on time . 50% in july is prabably a good idea this year with the cost of inputs but i expect there will be some straining overdrafts in december

But they can only distribute 50% when they know what 100% would be & there's not a hope in hell they will work out everyones amount by July!
You can bet they will do the massive estates first & announce hectares paid out rather than farmers numbers receiving it!

I honestly cannot believe the comments above. The RPA are doing something to help your cash flow, and you mostly are critical of this move.Do you all have such vast wealth that the BPS is just a minor inconvenience to you or have you all bought 2 yrs of N last year and not yet sold anything from 2021 harvest? For once, just once, wind your necks in and grow up.

I think it just shows how sceptical Conservative voting farmers have become about how they are treated by 'their' MP's.
