Perhaps could make a bit of commission
Quite informative the French electric grid showing their import and export through the various interconnectors. Quite noticeable UK and Spain pushing electric into France during the day with Italy taking it out then overnight UK still pushing it in but Italy and Spain taking it out.
As for commission someone somewhere is making extortionate profits unfortunately it appears that the UK consumer is the mugs paying for it.

Combined with the enhanced maintenance program some Reactors are down to tickover as river levels seriously low and there's a limit to how much hot water can be put into rivers.
On Monday I could see 3 windfarms all static yet a good breeze. Why would this be? Was 10:45 in the morning.

Had noticed French nuclear was very low on production. As for the turbines they would probably be switched off as solar would be swamping the grid as it rises in the morning. (large amount from Spain) Once you get solar to its peak rate its easy to ramp down gas to compensate and bring the wind back online but in the interim it is quicker to turn wind off rather than trying to fine tune gas.

Interesting, Thanks.
I read the LNG thread and that explains some of the Electricity flowing from the UK, as you have so many Gas power stations.

Unlike France we dont have the gas storage capacity (We did have or could have but the government are clueless in this respect) instead our option is to keep it in the ground and export as much gas as possible through the gas interconnector into europe storage which at the moment is very depleted. Because we have the gas power stations we can also use 10 GW of gas to produce 5 GW of electric for export through the interconnectors.
