Well you'd probably do 4 or 5 dry cows early on, so what's the difference between 8 ewe's and 14 lambs, and say 2 cow's and 70 litres of milk.Six ewes without lambs

Another top post.No I haven't, but if you and glasshouse think it's only worth £30 perhaps your in the wrong job or perhaps doing something wrong, let's face it, all he does is whinge, and you seem to spend your time touring the country looking for ground, on the other hand the other day you said you could sell up and put I think £500,000 in the bank from the sale of your sheep, in which case I think its just a case of you want something for nothing. Funny how farmers on fbt's pay a decent rent and just get on with the job instead of this constant whinging.
Its not, its total pishTop post.
Its not, its total pish
Nobody expects to rent £10k land for £30
That sort of land would never have sheep on it anyway
Thank you, was beginning to feel like the village idiot, they've all objected to paying a decent rent, but no one's come forward and said they would be happy to purchase land and rent it out at what they offer.Top post.
Plenty on AHA paying £50 or less. Renting land out isn't supposed to be a charity. Its not, its total pish

No one has objected to a “decent” rent. If the grass is good, well fenced, no ragwort or thistles, water on tap etc, a good rent can be paid.Thank you, was beginning to feel like the village idiot, they've all objected to paying a decent rent, but no one's come forward and said they would be happy to purchase land and rent it out at what they offer.
Thats all aha land is worth.Plenty on AHA paying £50 or less. Renting land out isn't supposed to be a charity.
Joking aside shouldn't aha land be double or treble fbt land ?Thats all aha land is worth.
Iv just rented some land that have been recently bought for £19k acre at auction, Iv paid £20 acre because that all its for for grazing. Its not, its total pish

I rent some fields which were bought at over 15k and a small field which is between a large block of mine at £25k/acre. I used to rent that land for free before it was sold. Still doIts not, its total pish

No income stream to be generated...RSPCA have no legal power as I understand, and they too would be obliged to get a vet to do an official inspection as they are not qualified to do so. My understanding is that the RSPCA don't have much interest in farm animals any longer.
You didn’t even bother replying to me. Which seems to format when anyone makes a good point that doesn’t stack up with what you say.Thank you, was beginning to feel like the village idiot, they've all objected to paying a decent rent, but no one's come forward and said they would be happy to purchase land and rent it out at what they offer.
No, apparently no one purchases land and expects a return on it from rent, so you've done the right thing, the idiot is surely the woman who bought the 1000 acres and is rewilding it, I mean who on earth earth would buy something and then go for maximum return on their investment.Ps I purchased land and I let it out for free to a young couple trying to get ahead in farming. Stock fenced, watered, new reseed and a barn on it plus rail way carriage.
I must be an idiot I guess.
Until she tries too sell it in a few years and finds she’s devalued her asset once the government subs on it end (which they will)No, apparently no one purchases land and expects a return on it from rent, so you've done the right thing, the idiot is surely the woman who bought the 1000 acres and is rewilding it, I mean who on earth earth would buy something and then go for maximum return on their investment.
You really are a pretty unpleasant person to discuss anything with. No, apparently no one purchases land and expects a return on it from rent, so you've done the right thing, the idiot is surely the woman who bought the 1000 acres and is rewilding it, I mean who on earth earth would buy something and then go for maximum return on their investment.
