There is, it’s proven too alleviate the symptoms. Just give in and keep/buy more ewe lambs…There must be a treatment out there.
It was absolutely packed to the rafters, the tragedy that led to this heifer and calf being sold for charity has hit the local community extremely hard, it was great to everyone there wanting to show they’re support. The charity farmers have shown there is just fantastic and i havent seen a ringside that full of people for along time.
Woodheads among othersWho is paying over £7 kilo deadweight for lambs this week?
Trade looks to be improved up and down yesterday at last may long it continue
woodhads killing our cattle thursday, must be some demand!Talking to butchers yesterday, this week is a supply nightmare.
Being only a 3 day week it is hard to get deliveries planned, amounts of meat on Smithfield are very low. Chicken has almost completely dried up and what supply is available is of poor quality and eye wateringly expensive.
The anticipation is that demand for Burgers and Sausages will be very high (providing the weather plays ball). It is also thought that many people will be eating at home with families so there could be some increase in sales of joints.
It is hard to judge whether supply problems are to do with logistics or if, as in the case of Chicken there are no stocks left in reserve. Hopefully stock prices will keep tracking the Crude Oil price which this morning is $123 a barrel!!
That's what I thought especially the cattle side of things, Exeter report yesterday a stronger trade on lambs cos London is busy with this bank holiday weekendsurely meat for this bank holiday would have been killed a fortnight ago? Or are the chiller that low?
Won’t matter for mincesurely meat for this bank holiday would have been killed a fortnight ago? Or are the chiller that low?
Spring lambs were hellish at Darlington tonight
I actually think we all may be suprised how little the big companies now have in stock imo it’s more getting hand to mouth due to less staff in places covid etc I have a feeling the pallets stacked up have disappearedsurely meat for this bank holiday would have been killed a fortnight ago? Or are the chiller that low?
