The heat and no wind didn't kill those cattle. Being locked in a feed lot without appropriate shade did.

As the first cattle started to die did they stand and watch the rest die or did they shoot them? Can't see them shooting in a packed corral so the animals must have suffered some, wonder why the risk of this happening wasn't anticipated and addressed.... isn't Kansas a hot state ?

Here's the graph I found online. These temperatures are higher than usual, but not unprecedented. However from the article I believe it was the combination of heat and humidity (brought on by lack of wind).

Guardian reporting 20 million animals die in america on the way to the abattoir, where do they pick these numbers from?! I doubt they have counted them out!
