March!
We’re on about 54mm since mid March just checked the Sencrop. That is dry - as dry as 2011?
Yep. Wheat is just starting to stress here. Neighbours beans are going yellow. Its certainly very dry, although I dont think its terrible yet. If we get nothing this weekend, then two more weeks of heat then there will be issues.
Anything in Fife? Some rain in the south of England .
One thing's for sure, it'll rain when you don't want it to...
I think it’s just sunshine we need here , crops look well and had enough moisture .
been an overcast June and some decent sun wouldn’t go amiss
That’s surprising as I thought you would’ve had pretty much the same as us .What a difference a short distance makes. Desperate for rain here, but everything to play for if it does (although a thunderstorm will flatten the promising looking Winter Barley crops).
Some of the beet is still emerging, filling a few of the gaps in. That which has emerged is wanting a good drink to get it established properly. Spring barley had a bit of rain a few weeks back to get it going (& tillering) but tips of leaves still yellow from stress.

I hope it’s like 2018. So easy. Small grains of wheat but good bushel, not pinched pink shite.
My spring beans look excellent but need moisture or they’ll suffer soon. Hay down and nearly but not quite ready. The weather gods are struggling to find a way to punish me. Rain on the hay and help the crops or stay dry and have perfect hay but damage the crops.
