I wonder what feed costs Tesco/Promar are claiming to have reduced. My Summer cake contract is still £100/ton up on last Winter’s despite a planned ten quid reduction for August and September only
Tell that to the producer whose % of milk going to Tesco COP increases because other folks leave. That's how a COP model works. It's not a market related price.
Cake and eat it?
Is that how it works Tell that to the producer whose % of milk going to Tesco COP increases because other folks leave.
I’d want to see a lot more detail from Promar on how they think costs have reduced. Kite on the other hand have been banging on all summer about how the COP has been getting towards 50p. One of the companies is wrong!!!That's how a COP model works. It's not a market related price.

Tesco hold the keys I wouldn’t be getting off track concerned with PromarI’d want to see a lot more detail from Promar on how they think costs have reduced. Kite on the other hand have been banging on all summer about how the COP has been getting towards 50p. One of the companies is wrong!!!
Dont forget Promar are being paid by Tesco to do the work, they‘re not going to bite the hand that feeds them
That makes no sense, it says they are reducing the Tesco price to 42.59ppl, but then goes on to say the Tesco price will continue to track the Muller Direct price (which is currently 47ppl for August 1st).View attachment 1051181View attachment 1051182
Dragged their heels on an increase, but first opportunity to reduce price...
I suppose it can track the price, just be 5p or whatever behind it.That makes no sense, it says they are reducing the Tesco price to 42.59ppl, but then goes on to say the Tesco price will continue to track the Muller Direct price (which is currently 47ppl for August 1st).
From the way I read it it just says the COP has gone down, not that they’re reducing the price paid. That makes no sense, it says they are reducing the Tesco price to 42.59ppl, but then goes on to say the Tesco price will continue to track the Muller Direct price (which is currently 47ppl for August 1st).
They should be grateful that Tesco have changed the rules to suit them then, rather than throwing their toys out the pramFrom the way I read it it just says the COP has gone down, not that they’re reducing the price paid.
Get used to it. All our prices will be dropping soon. Regardless of supply.
Just realistic.Your a cheerful chap.
Just the reality of the situation all commodities are falling. Demand is falling.Your a cheerful chap.
Well my supply is with this drought !Grass is nearly all gone !Get used to it. All our prices will be dropping soon. Regardless of supply.

Speaking to a mate on cop contract who has dropped from 550 cow to 390 and is likely to drop more, as cow prices to high and he can't get good labour, has Eastern Europe staff at the moment but need to be supervised all the time, as they don't understand cows at all, just here for the money.I know one thing if prices drop much be a lot of cows on the market. Am I right in thinking cop contracts are based just on feed fuel fertilizer?
It's not just price related any moreSpeaking to a mate on cop contract who has dropped from 550 cow to 390 and is likely to drop more, as cow prices to high and he can't get good labour, has Eastern Europe staff at the moment but need to be supervised all the time, as they don't understand cows at all, just here for the money.
