Apartheid, that’s a shame. All I will say is don’t coming running to the beef thread for back up when you get into a fight with the arable boys on the combinable or straw tracker thread you’re on on your own 🤣
Us sheep men where happy for the beef men to be on here, they are the ones that have split off. 😟

It’s very poorly advertised, Iv only heard about it on here.
Was one of the big ones down here , thame, honeybourne and wilton, 2t hoggs from the north folded over the arable all winter , and in the downs (pp valleys) all summer ,often associated offspring ,crossed with suff sold as stores or breeding ewe lambs to the dairy / livestock farmers , (still the most popular female cross down here ) Wilton september sale was where the shepherds were taken on with employment for the next year , they showed they were available by wearing a feather / ribbon in their hat if let go or unhappy with employer . ive sold there when there were 30.000 on sale in the 80s in 3 or 4 rings ,was a regular occurance , think august would have been binned long ago but the fair field is theirs to use as long as a sheep fair takes place , prime site for housing now, with salisbury 3 miles away

I went once as a kid. It was mind blowing the amount of sheep and lorries there. Sounds like it’s really shrunk in size
