does anyone do this? i find it drinks half the fuel to put it in 1000 and just run it low revs, will it damage the machine starting it up in 1000 though?

seems a bit sore on machine when starting up as need 10,000 revs to stop tractor stalling?Good in big sheds. Throws straw further.
10,000 rpm probably a bit much.seems a bit sore on machine when starting up as need 10,000 revs to stop tractor stalling?

This is the secret @Agri Spec SolicitorI use 1000 rpm pto, but have a hand clutch to start the machine.
Run at 1300/1400 engine rpm so 650/ 700ish on the pto. Teagle machine.

ooft nasty oneMight take off at 10,000!
I once wrote off a teagle bedder on 1000 pto speed. I'd been in it unblocking it using a loader tine. Forgot to take tines out, must have got lost in straw.
Was some bang when it went into fan.
Better the bedder than my thumb, had a few hours waiting in a&e first day after starting with a fresh machine and sliced my thumb,Might take off at 10,000!
