Machinery Sale - Mr Price the man who cleared the river!

Maybe Mr Price is selling all that kit to buy diggers and bulldozers for ditch and river dredging jobs as he has shown that he can get the job done efficiently and make it work again. Does anyone actually know what the status is with the alleged court case? Genuinely interested as there sure was a lot of local support I recall for his work on the river it would be a shame if this was all empty words as soon as legal action started. I am in full support of his actions at no cost to anyone as I understood it, sorted out the job in the correct manner, is there lots of rain there now? And is river flowing or flooding

I haven't seen it but someone from near there said it's righted a lot of wrongs and it's flowing miles better, although it's still a part of the world that is vulnerable now and again, but where isn't? And as an unexpected bonus the ground he is trying to get planning for houses on now has a better flood risk score😉.

Don't know circumstances of sale, and I wouldn't comment on it.

All I know is lack of EA river maintenance is a disgrace, and they should leave the man alone. He did a cracking job. If you don't keep taking insides if corners off it pushes water to erode far bank, causing bigger meanders and more soil/phosphate erosion, and eventually would take the bridge out in those photos.

Well that’s too much like common sense so will never happen

Mr Price needs to be put in charge of waterways as he seems to know far more about how to make them work efficiently than the EA do.

Fining him for fixing a problem is just plain stupid, he should be on the payroll at an executive level. If the judge has any sense he will fine the EA for wasting court time.

Will be all grassed over, looking fine now and water flowing squarely through centre of bridge.

What ever the whys and wherefores...
Looking at pictures from different angles ( in FW) it looks a very well thought out and put in to practice job, grading back of the inside corner of the bank and clearing out the Arch that was blocked ,without going over the top at all, looks to be a proper spot on job by someone with experience, knowledge and intelligence.
and If they wanted to be constructive and helpful to all (the EA) they could have recommended replanting further back in off the bank with something less invasive than the willow that was allegidly removed and suitable to screen or for looks .
Instead of total negative stuff that ultimatly wont help anyone .
Quite why good work has to be shat on these days when there's so much crap shoddy 2bit work that gets paid out millions for around about .
Worlds Finally Gone Mad. :cautious:.
