some farmers are very short of fodder, there were crazy prices for maize and w/crop locally.
But looked like it was a good sale, for Peter.
farm sales are funny things, we all wish for a 'good' sale, for the outgoing farmer, turn up for a good 'nose' round, and hope for a 'bargain' or two. Then moan like hell about how much things make!

I've just paid £15 ex farm for very good hay in round bales, £8 for decent cow quality. Only 20 of each, sadly.
