Three yowes dead, one per day for last 3 days. Seems like might just be coincidence - the first seemed to be a piner, the third (today) was pretty ancient; yesterdays a mystery.

Feckin sheep!! Will have to seek advice if any more die.

To add to the hassle. Pickup is back in garage, hope they can solve the coolant issue. Old car needed jump leads and now gears have seized - won’t go into reverse - through lack of use (I guess).

Feckin vehicles!!!

No pix as it’s too cauld to take my hands out of pockets.

Cheers

Often when the winter weather is easterly, we are protected by the hills. Weather, especially snow, sneaks along the Tweed valley, south of here, and sometimes doesn’t manage to “turn right” / north and head up our way.

Must be a name for this phenomenon?

I don't know the name for it, but we can watch weather coming from upper Teasdale and it will turn and go one side of the river and not the other. I have land 5 miles away on the other side of the Tees and it can be a different day there.

I don't know the name of it but it happens here too.

When we are desperate for rain, we can stand here on the Lincoln Cliff and watch thunderstorms follow the Trent and then 'turn right' and go down the Humber and out to sea, without us seeing as much as a drop.
