Yes he talks like he’s a farming guru but hasn’t progressed or updated the yard in the last 30 years, poor Tom inherited a right mess.
Feel like they’d have got better value building the new shed on its own instead of wedging it in between old buildings and making the feeder drive through cow sh!t to get there.

They only moved there maybe 12 years ago, they built a new house, a farm shop, a cubicle shed, a silage pit in that time, I think they're doing all right

I watched a video a while back and from what I gather Tom's farther had to buy out his brothers, which I guess would put him behind in updating the farm yard.
Appears that they have invested more money and resources into building the retail side of the business eg the milk processing, delivery and the farm shop.

Now these parts of by the business are up and running, Tom is using the YouTube money to updated the farm yard and create another income stream in the form of a visitor attraction to watch the cows being milked in the new parlour.
I'd say the farm business bought the new tractor, so the ginger warrior has say in what to buy, while Tom is investing his money into the buildings and has a greater input as to design etc.

Does it really matter? It's a family business ffs. I'm sure they all have their strengths/likes/specialty and are doing what they can afford to, when they can afford to. Like thousands of others in the same situation.

Fair enough, my mistake. I thought I’d heard them say Grandad bought the farm in the 60’s.

I'm not sucking up to any others, I'm openly not a fan of Tom Pemberton and Joe seals.

I don't like ollys non farming video's. I don't want to see him and his Mrs on holiday. I don't care much for tractor runs. Factory tours. I like to see him farming, talking about crops, machinery, cars.

Haven't watched any for over a week, which must be some kind of record for me!

What do folks think TomP should have went for instead of the Hurliman? It's a decent enough basic tractor for that job.

There's not much of a choice of 2wd tractors now and there isn't much point putting a JD or Massey on a diet feeder. I'd say their feeder tractor is as good now as most - whether it'll stay that way or not is another thing.

I stopped watching back when he went on holiday because it’s quite obvious he has little input and when he does is shot down and frustrates the hell out of him and at the time I needed more positivity in my life
