Fendt aircon warranty ?

We have had a issue with the aircon on a Fendt 724 from new - basically a VERY slow leak that has required the system to need refilling every few months, it could be expensive to fix as a lot of hours and disassembly could be clocked up looking finding such a small leak

Tractor warranty is about to expire so wanted to make sure any outstanding issues were resolved and have been told that aircon is not covered under a Fendt warranty ?

Seems odd to me, how can you exclude aircon ?

anyone had experience of the same issue ? do other brands make this rather odd exclusion on warranty ?

Had an issue with another brand of tractor, the guy that fixed my slow leak put a coloured die in the system, easy to spot then.
The AC specialist who fixed a very slow leak on my car said you can't use the dye as it was too thick for small leaks and wouldn't work.
Can't remember what he used but he did find it.
He said many dealers don't try and find small leaks, they just recharge the system every now and again until it's out of warranty 🤷‍♂️
He could have been talking shite but he fixed what the dealer couldn't.

My guess is the dealer uses an outside company for repairs that aren't straight forward and potentially they'd need your tractor for a couple of days if it's a small leak (although re gassing every month or so isn't that small) Fendt don't want to pay the big bill, so they get the dealer to regas.
Just a guess, could be wrong.

Our Isuzu dmax had the same fault from new and dealer said the same thing, a quick call to Isuzu service and I was told it was covered. The dealer had to fix it in the end.

You can put a sealant in when you re gas. Gave up trying to find a leak on JD 6410 put glue In alot better! But wouldn't be happy doing this to a newer machine though!

they say not covered full stop

have been paying a local independent to regas every 6 months

warranty ending soon bought up the issue - can extend for 12 months (circa 5k). ……….. no chance however if stuff that goes wrong is excluded

sounds like i need to talk above dealer level on this

My dealer replaced faulty spool couplers under warranty and another local dealer wouldn’t,sounds like they make things up to suit, one things for sure my dealer was excellent.

Think you need to compile an email to a higher authority than the one fobbing you off.

We have the same problem on a 724 as well , has had lots of bits under warranty to stop the leak but its still not a 100% & is going in soon to have it checked over again & hopfully get the leak fixed all under warranty
