Yep heard they're going back to buying everything at auction from wool board where they are guaranteed regular quality and storage until they need it.My father came back with the story he had ceased trading , wether that was just from the Perth depot or what I don’t know, haven’t heard from anywhere else was just wondering if anyone had heard anything
A big win for wool producers, another buyer “around the ring”Yep heard they're going back to buying everything at auction from wool board where they are guaranteed regular quality and storage until they need it.

Heard on the grape vine, wool price will be down this year as the cost of electricity to process it has gone up so much. So probably best if you burn it.Think i'll be burning my wool again this year, shame really
Do wool board still make you roll it? I just throw it in belly wool and allWe will have to accept its a waste product and burn it at current prices. It does not pay to employ a wool roller, spend time packing and hauling it in. Push it to one side with loader and burn it. After two of three years with nothing sent in price may come bsck!
I'll send my mule and bfl and burn the swale i think, have been sending to DB and they have halved the price for swale to 10p so i got the impression demand isnt going to be as strong.Heard on the grape vine, wool price will be down this year as the cost of electricity to process it has gone up so much. Why don’t you midden it bit of a waste of nutrients. I spread some Welsh ewe wool some one gave me maybe 80 fleeces looking a right sausage when i spread it but it had gone by the following springI'll send my mule and bfl and burn the swale i think, have been sending to DB and they have halved the price for swale to 10p so i got the impression demand isnt going to be as strong.

Db definitely the best of a bad bunch. Not read whole thread but bwmb sent me a letter other day basically telling me it worthless again?
Same excuses of electric and processing costs.
If db are paying 45p it will go to them, I’ve still got last years to go aswell!
Could have saved some money by not sending that out I thought. Not read whole thread but bwmb sent me a letter other day basically telling me it worthless again?

If I could get a tex x mule equivalent that shed I would. The jab also intrigues me tooYou’ll soon be coming round to the idea of shedders, that spread their own nutrient rich fibres on the ground.
There is huge value in wool for loft insulation! We will have to accept its a waste product and burn it at current prices. Hate to see it messing the fields up, it wont have much value as a nutrient. Why don’t you midden it bit of a waste of nutrients. I spread some Welsh ewe wool some one gave me maybe 80 fleeces looking a right sausage when i spread it but it had gone by the following spring
