NOT an expert but I thought the Td machines became the T4S and T5S. Not heard of a T4A in the UK, but as I said, NOT an expert....
Sorry ment S. The TD became the straight T4 which has the Turkish built flat top cab. The S has been recently introduced with the Indian built cab that rises up at the back Same as Farmall A. They stopped making the higher HP T4 regular though when the T5S was introduced.

Still disagree with you I`m afraid. The Td is/was the poverty spec model which I believe is the T4 S job now. Certainly the T4 is higher spec/price than the T4 S . You`re right the T4 tractors only seem to go up to 75hp now. There is a guy on this forum that could certainly confirm things (I think he`s a NH dealer , but I`ve forgot his name)

Looking at the New Holland website, I'd say the T4S is the equivalent of the smaller Farmall A range, upto 75hp, the T4 is similar to the Farmall C upto 75hp. The T5 ranges cover the larger models of both farmall a and c, the 's' being the same as farmall a range.

And I’m going to have to continue to disagree with you I’m afraid. The Farmall C / New Holland T4 / T5 Utility is built by Türk Trak and has the rounded back corner cab and is the successor of the TD and JX, all be it does come with an optional dual power.

The Farmall A /T4s / T5S is a new entry level position.

the successor of the TL/JXU is the T5 Electro command or Luxxum which is called the Farmall U in America and is built in Italy.

I love the slightly higher spec Fiat based tractors & have had.
NH 6635
NH TL100
JXU1090
JXU105
Finally
CASE Farmall95C

Have to say the NH6635 was the best.

A firm in Turkey still builds the early 90's FIAT type tractors that these machines were based on. Shame we are not allowed to buy them here. Tuscon or similar look like FIATS but painted blue.

I think you've got yourself in a muddle with the Farmall A and C's.

The TD 5020 (approx 72 HP) was built from 2012 to 2019 so how could it become a T4 which was already an ongoing model. Things have got VERY complicated though (I think!) because the T4 used to be assembled in Italy but I think it`s now assembled in Turkey (as is the T4S which I believe replaced the TD 5020, etc).

Fair point. I remember the TDD being launched as the original Zetor beater, but only started paying attention again when I was buying my workmaster (T4S) so missed a lot of the in between. Didn’t realize there was overlap there. There is a lot of hybridization going on now as well with electro command from Basildon being installed in italy and the Turkish tractors getting dual command from italy.

Aye, here`s a "4 post cab"......
That’s a 6 post cab with the curved rear sections.
