Hi all you sugar beer growers on another part of the forum nfu, say things about not saying about prices should go up to the farmers how the H, can nfu, be alowed to negotiate the sugar prices for you all it is an impossible situation for you all. Who is supplying brown envelopes bulging.
Nfu sugar are separate to the Nfu to be fair. And all growers are allowed to vote on who sits on the board. And I think (though I might be wrong) that all growers are eligible to put themselves up for election. I’m sure you don’t need to be a Nfu member either. Others may know more.

Perhaps you should sit at the negotiating table
I'd have had a price sorted by may!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
On a serious note im afraid real grower's is what we need more of on board. Definitely not me but I know of a lot of very good grower's who speak a lot of sense and have very good ideas and views of the industry but they would never get on the board as there not of the right "type".

If it's separate why does it have to have anything to do with that sh!t show of a union, why can't it just be a grower representative board???
If they are separate then why do we see the same old faces go from sugar Board to other posts within the NFU??? I guess it's the first rung of the ladder to climb aboard the great gravy train!!!!🤷

I broadcast Rape off saved heap into standing barley last week and it's already greened up in the bottom. Just waiting to see what BS come up with. When can we expect an offer price?

37.50 seems to be a minimum being communicated to some growers who are asking similar questions. Not to me mind 🙄 I was quite surprised at that but I’ve heard it from a couple of places now 🤷‍♂️

How can it be less this year when the market is higher?
It’s not necessarily the price; just a minimum to expect apparently. The market I believe is mostly irrelevant; we don’t get paid for barley based on the price of beer do we…I bet there might be an enhancement based on the sugar market similar to this year. To be honest I thought it would have been a lot lower based on other cropping options. All beet has to do is to be competitively priced against other spring crops for people to grow it…and bs no doubt are fully aware of that

The longer it goes on, the higher it has to be.
