Does it also do 29mpg?

The well established Trent series of engines will take many decades to supersede. However, they are certainly continuing to develop the Trent and have two shaft, three shaft and UltraFan versions yet to be unleashed on the industry.
They are probably starting to develop electric engines but that is not an option for large long range aircraft any time soon and certainly not until solid state very high storage to weight ratio and fire resistant batteries are developed. These may well take a couple of decades to mature enough to be suitable replacements and will probably have to revert to driving propellors.
A lot of the devlopment work they have done on engines in the past has been side lined, if you want take it or not Electric is the projects they are working on now , on the dreamliner plane to outside engines as both electric & have been for few years now, once the plane is up & flying it takes very lttle power to make it fly at the crusing speed , take Shackelton plane it could fly with only one engine running out of the 4 it had for hours at a time when it was in its roll as an early warning plane

I still say it be easy to run a leccy tractor, what are most front linkages used for? Yep to carry a weight block, now batteries are heavy so carry battery pack instead, dead easy to swap out as needed.

and remember there’s no need for the engine, cooling system or massive fuel tank so with a bit of a redesign there be plenty room for batteries
Never going to work where I farm. At very least there will never be the infrastructure to charge these batteries.

There a small generator at the back of the aircraft for powering the electrics while it's parked up, it's called an APU, auxilary power unit. Those massive turbofans aren't powered by the APU

I never said they were ,I said it had a gas turbine which powered a big generator which powered the two out side engines, not the power for the plane standing on the tarmac , take a trip to Rolls-Royce and find out for yourself but I doubt you will not be in all the test areas we were lucky enough to see
