Perfect Suckler cow??

What are you going to do with the calves?
If I was going to sell suckled calves I would want a different cow and bull to what I would if I was finishing my own.
I finish my own on grass and use an angus bull (but you could use any other native type) over mostly angus and Hereford cross cows. But they look sh!t at weaning and if I wanted to sell suckled calves I would go back to more limousine cross cows we had before. If I was selling strong stores I would keep the angus cows and use a limousine bull on them.
It's a lot easier if you have enough cows to justify more than one or two bulls. That's a lot of my problem I would like to run 3 different ones, a bull for breeding replacements, a bull for heifers and a terminal bull. But don't have, or want, enough cows to do it.
Some of that isn't relevant if your buying cows though.
edit before posting. You could use most continental type cattle I've just typed limousine because that's what I had before and I can't be arsed writing it all out again.
