Its quite clear RT and NFU just want walking away from and not looking back for dust. @Levy Believer some of us are currently stuffed for markets, can AHDB step up and work towards a free trade agreement and distance itself from RT.

Don’t they part own red tractor? Why would they go against rt? If they were against the set up they could walk away. Until recently they were bunging them £1/4 million a year remember

I wont say members because at the rate the are loosing them pretty soon the NFU will stand for No Farming Union !!!
Probably have to rebrand as something more suitable .....

It's not even useful for that..... when the horse meat was found in lasagne RT stayed very quiet. Because they thought they might be implicated in it.

lost a huge opportunity there but RT wasn't trustworthy enough to strike whilst the iron was hot.

Don't forget the real villain, the BRC. On RT board, anti farmer, work for the retailers.

NFU are just as bad as BRC for pandering to them and going behind our backs. None of them are without equal blame

True, perhaps it can be assumed they never had a vested interest in anything our side of the fence, but nfu Cymru, nfu Scotland, nfu England and AHDB all SHOULD have our best interests at hand.....

RT couldn't though could they.
It would highlight that like food waste and fossil fuel use, food safety issues are a problem in the rest of the supply chain, not on farms.

BRC have got one person on a board of 18. That person is either a complete genius or the rest are on board with the agenda. A fair proportion of the people on the board ‘should’ have farmers best interests at heart

What has happened to a proud and honest profession. I’ve loved farming. I’m lucky to have come from many generations of family farmers. Depressions wars we have managed to scrape through. But today I do wonder if there is a future for the next generation.
