They've only just woken up to the fact that this is the last year they'll have the finance on their new pick ups paid for by the government.
No. I take you mean stopping bps. Farmers in Wales have known this is happening for a while now. There was a consultation that said the new sfs scheme wasn't fit for purpose and unworkable for almost everyone for one reason or another, all of them valid. They've only just woken up to the fact that this is the last year they'll have the finance on their new pick ups paid for by the government.
That report states that 'about 3000' were there... that is not an accurate estimate of the actual number.Farming: Coffin brought as 3,000 people protest reform plans https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-68232236
The Welsh are mobilising…..tonight

The reason there is unrest now is because the revised sfs scheme has come back just as bad.
Couple that with not doing anything about tb telling farmers to do something else instead and blanket NVZ over the whole country and its no wonder everyone is highly pee'd off.
I mean sounds like England 🫣No. I take you mean stopping bps. Farmers in Wales have known this is happening for a while now. There was a consultation that said the new sfs scheme wasn't fit for purpose and unworkable for almost everyone for one reason or another, all of them valid.

Largely English so everyone could understand what was being saidDid they speak in English or Welsh?
Yes it goes a lot further than just farming. I mean who the hell thought it was OK to spend over £40million on the 20mph speed limit no one wanted when there isn't even enough money to do even the basic things they already have to do.And I hope some are waking up to the fact we are turning in to a communist state.
Our NHS is almost on a par with the soviet era, transport and infrastructure has gone to the dogs and the few industries that actually do something are being hammered by legislation and interference (farming & tourism ) while the useless sector (government employees and the unemployable) enjoy comfy sinecures

I could go on and on.
Almost far worse is rewarding themselves with another 36 AMs at an annual cost of £90m plus.
We don't need them and we certainly don't want them.
Great turnout at Carmarthen Mart. I know, because I was there to quote Max Boyce. Surprise talk from Nigel Owens as well as many others. BBC report 3000 there.

That's what I have been advocating, setting up a new party and getting into the senedd, and changing the money wasting shambles from the inside.Although and here's a thought, a Welsh Farmers Party is formed and it wins all 36 "closed book" seats .....
** Closed Book is voting for a party only not a person and PR allocates seats on that basis (as I understand it)
Give us a brief summary of the key points and any potential further actions
Diolch
Dripford STILL IN CHARGE even though so called going?I’ve never seen farmers and the public so angry at the welsh assembly, I know pure labour voters who have had it with the party with the way everyone is ordered about and talked down to so look out trouble is coming !
Plenty of flexibility...... for an Inspectors interpretation...?Maybe, but you get that from the height of a hedge?
It seems that, under current proposals, if a hedge is over 3m in height then it will be closed as a row of trees. If it is under 3m in height, then it is habitat (@18 sq m per linear m), but trees in that hedgerow are still ‘trees’.
All as clear as mud.
