Were you there ?
It may be correct
It may not be
No, I was at the pub + no reception - which clearly shows my finger is right on the pulse of rural affairs.... but, then, I'm not on social media. 🙄

Heard something was brewing, didn't see that 'notice' above until now; cousins went - and assumed I would - my info is from one of them, he reckons numbers were about half the estimate, max.

@lloyd Main talking was in English, probably for media as well as general understanding, most but not all chat on the ground around them was in Welsh.

There's a WAG event on the Showground at Builth today and they've hired the smallest building in the place. 100 people will about fill it

That's what I have been advocating, setting up a new party and getting into the senedd, and changing the money wasting shambles from the inside.
If the Dutch farmers could do it why can't we? But the thought of GWJ as our Prif weinidog? I"ll say no more!
Hmm... fine over this side, probably a fair chance of working, can't see them getting voted in by the Valleys or Cardiff mobs though, they know they are on to a good thing with Labour.

However, IF it was to happen, it would - and I'm not taking the p!ss - have to be a non political thing... meaning a very broad church, with no radical left / right / nationalist policies, just practical and pragmatic policies. Anything else would lead to in-fighting at the first meeting.

Thinking on it, this could be a goer, if it aims not to govern, but just to hold the balance of power. (y)

Yes it goes a lot further than just farming. I mean who the hell thought it was OK to spend over £40million on the 20mph speed limit no one wanted when there isn't even enough money to do even the basic things they already have to do.
I could go on and on.
yes that attitude, priorities of many people not just policy makers are wrong it seems , like wanting a new pick up car kitchen foreign holiday Farmers around here didn't have that in the Seventies

Yep but the general population were poorer in the 70s.
Teenagers used to drive bangers and unemployment
was a serious concern.I don't think it's wrong that farmers
should have a reasonable standard of living most others
seem too.

Although and here's a thought, a Welsh Farmers Party is formed and it wins all 36 "closed book" seats .....

** Closed Book is voting for a party only not a person and PR allocates seats on that basis (as I understand it)

Your new friends from Gwlad were promoting themselves as a new ‘farmer friendly’ party when they were handing out leaflets at Welshpool…
