Brexit is destroying Britain

But, but, but, we keep getting told by the knowledgeable and well educated on here that brexit has finished the UK, when in reality it's doing as well as its mates in the EU. You should be asking your government in Brussels why? Unless they're too busy trying to silence a washed up former MEP turned GB news presenter.

You don't get to just lie.

Another flat out lie.
Growth of half as well as it's "mates" is not anything like as fast no matter how much you lie about it.
People in other countries are subject to the law.
The police enforced the law.
You can't hold illegal gatherings and get away with it.

Very true

Here is a table of the growth rates for the US, UK, the EU and the three largest EU economies for the two years 2022 and 2023 (the 2023 growth rates used are IMF forecasts, based on data up to Q3):

Cumulative Real GDP Growth in 2022 and 2023 (% change)

UK 4.6

Italy 4.4

USA 4.2

EU 4.0

France 3.5

Germany 1.3

The UK is already outperforming the EU and the US!

This is so sadly desperate it hilarious.

This will be a bit too intellectually challenging for the myopic Euro fanatics, for those able to look at things in more depth it’s another fascinating example of what the EU is trying to achieve politically and why the instinct of the British people was so right

Brexit has saved Britain from Brussels’ worst blunder yet

Matthew Lynn

Britain has had a lucky escape avoiding Brussels’ disastrous, profligate mess

During the pandemic, the EU borrowed €723bn to spend on the recovery. It was hailed as the moment the EU transformed itself into a genuine fiscal union. Some breathlessly described it as Europe’s “Hamilton moment”.

This was when what we now know as the United States of America assumed war-debt across all states, thereby cementing the union.

That money has been spent well, right? Nope. It has disappeared down the toilet amidst a scandal over corruption and fraud. Surprised? Me neither.

20 suspects from across the EU have been investigated on suspicion of fraudulently appropriating and laundering more than than €600m of these funds. During the raids, police seized Rolexes, gold jewellery, Lamborghinis and Porsches.

€2.5bn of Covid recovery funds earmarked for Greece has been awarded to a small group of telecoms companies. Their offices have been raided amid suspicion of corruption.

Just a few isolated cases or the tip of the iceberg? You decide. The EU’s own decision to bribe Poland with €100bn of this money in order to elect the right government may help you decide.

Here’s the thing: if Britain had been a member, it would have been on the hook for about €145bn of this money. That’s almost the annual budget of the entire NHS.

Oh my.
People have been arrested for crimes.
It doesn't happen in the UK.
Have you ever wondered why?
