May be of interest to some mengele owner we have fitted the p300 belt and pulleys to a sh40n has worked very well. The distance between the center of the p300 pullys is 7.44inch wider than the sh40 hence the widened machine.
Parts and information supplied by John at alkmonton tractor's.
Sorry for a late reply had a few break downs yesterday... It seems jf confidence is not as strong as I'd hoped.
On the Lely storm topic I wouldn't have confidence in the long term supply of parts if they are considering dropping the trailed harvesters. The parts are becoming already hard to find.
This is all very valuable information thanks. I'm trying to do a bit of research, thinking about moving from mengele to jf. Was concerned over lack of blow and with thinking of picking up a reason 1350 with the intention of getting a 1360 drum to increase blow.
Hi everyone I could do with some help I have a 7810 with 620/70r42 and I'm hoping to up size to 710/60r42 are my rims too narrow for these larger tyres or will the fit. The same story for the front have 540/65r30 and would like 600/60r30.
Do I have to splash out on larger dishes or?
Pic for...
Have a 24ft tri Smyth here silage and grain trailer here for a number of years. A horrible bitch on the road at 50k with a 22t load tends to sway from side to side.
Did have to weld and support the chassis where the trailer hinges at the back due to cracks.
Also had to replace the two front...
Recently bought a 78 but the tls does seem to be working it rises fine when started but does seem to travel when being used.
I can see the accumulaters have been replaced recently. Any ideas?
Id personally go for the rear axil passive steering not front and rear forced steering
Its a lot simpler and allows the trailer to enter a smaller gap but does increase the tail swing.
I wouldn't be too concerned about the brakes, prolonging brake like comes down to the driver. A tractor with a 30k box could burn it's brakes out in one day if the driver was bad enough while a 60k box tractor with an experienced driver could last 10+ thousand hours
