It is a drain off the road, into the pond which has an overflow into the river that runs along the boundary. I'm assuming I'll have to 'connect' the drain from the road to the overflow into the river.
That would make sense. The site is pretty uneven in places and the grass it quite patchy, maybe indicating the soil from the pond was spread over the rest of the plot and seeded?
Id worry if that was a possibility. Forgive my ignorance but why would nothing ever grow after? If it makes any difference it will only be seeded for grass.
That's still 7x my estimate so I think it's safe to say I was way off! What sort of cost would I be looking at for that quantity? I wonder weather it'd be best to level using the surrounding soil? I have no experience in this area I might add.
Soil needed to backfill a pond that was dug by a previous owner of some amenity land near Wentnor. Delivery by tractor with tipper trailer due to grass slope access off road.
Pond size 18m x 8m oval and around 1m deep.
