Steevo, the tin hat in this case is because the drier is in Laurencekirk and will live outside permanently. helps when there is prolonged rain to keep going. And can leave it full of dry grain.
Ye the one with the liebherr and side intake is pretty smart. Approx 5000t went through that machine...
Also a quick thing you can do in the mean time is set the burner to run on single flame only. Unter the red cover, at the front there are 2 small black rocker switches. The one on the right has I or II. Out it to position I. Then only the first flame will come on. You will be heating up slower...
Exactly as david said you need smaller jets in. Please dont hesitate to call us though as there is always someone on the phone. We would rather point you in the right direction than let it cause frustration.
Main number is 01724 747110.. Andrew is on it today. My number is 07943330290. Save them...
24t most popular Mecmar model this year but every year are more and more in the 30-55t range. A good setup to reduce rehandling always helps. fuel efficiency and power consumption per tonne is pretty level across the board on different sized machines. It all really depends on required daily...
might be quite expencive. You would need:
Large burner maybe riello rl100 or similr
Large centrifugal fan, guessing about 50000m3/hour
3phase generator
Control panel with temperature controllers and burner and stirrer power supply....
Think we are already at about £15k in parts..
£15-20k would...
i think its to do with the temperature of the products of combustion which in other applications are removed via a heat exchanger. Our estimations are from farmer feedback. Most would be comparing opico gas to mecmar diesel but assume the same efficiency. I can feel a proper test coming on this...
Haha Thats fair enough but its still true. Mecmar do LPG or diesel on the same drier so can accurately compare with no interest in spinning it either way. We also sell continuous flow and drying floors too so are able to pretty open about different systems.
Diesel is cheaper to run but lpg driers a lot cheaper to buy. If it is just for backup then you might be better off with the cheaper machine to buy. www.mcarthuragriculture.co.uk
Have got a number of GT driers coming back in March. PTO, Electric, and automatic options.
