Mecmar burner cutting out.

Got a diesel mecmar drier. Drying seed at moment and burner keeps cutting out.

Air probe set at 70. Whenever cereal temperature reaches 40 it struggles to regulate air probe. Noticed it going up to about 85 and this causes burner to cut out.

Any ideas how to stop this happening? Annoying when you leave it for a bit and come back and burner off and grain cooled.

Usually need to put in smaller jets for seed, first jet too big and heats hotter than you have drier set for without letting second jet modulate the temperature.
Have been drying malting barley all season on same settings and been fine. That would make sense that this would be problem though.

Had all filters/jets out and cleaned.

I suspect that primary burner jet is perhaps doing nearly all the work. Ambient temperature is also high (down here at least) which makes its life easier still.

Exactly as david said you need smaller jets in. Please dont hesitate to call us though as there is always someone on the phone. We would rather point you in the right direction than let it cause frustration.
Main number is 01724 747110.. Andrew is on it today. My number is 07943330290. Save them on your phone. But for this case it is definitely a case of jet size. Sellars have jets, easy DIY job or im sure Davie Mac will give a hand.

Thanks. Are you from Mecmar?

Also a quick thing you can do in the mean time is set the burner to run on single flame only. Unter the red cover, at the front there are 2 small black rocker switches. The one on the right has I or II. Out it to position I. Then only the first flame will come on. You will be heating up slower but will at least not cut out until the job is done.

Presumably that is on the later burners? Never noticed switches on Press 2G..

Does the air temperature alarm illuminate then?? I have similar issues with burner cutting out only sometimes drying feed barley air 80 grain 40, service guy says it could be the air probe faulty
