Hi all, I have just finished my three year agricultural course at Reaseheath college. I’m from Ludlow Shropshire / Herefordshire border. I am looking for a job with mostly sheep and beef cattle. I have worked a fair bit with sheep from lambing to wrapping wool and also beef suckler cattle as we have a herd of our own on our family farm. I also have a fair bit of tractor experience aswell.

Hi, probably a bit of a long shot but does anyone have any jobs going around Bridlington area (I can drive and do have a car so anywhere within a reasonable distance)?

Also, does anyone have any tips on the best way to contact farmers for work (I have no experience at work in this field but really want to get involved)? Should I write a letter, email, ring them up or just go to the farm and hope to speak to the right person?

Hi all,

I’m looking for some part time farm/harvest work if at all possible. I’ll be honest and admit that I’m very green to arable farm work, but would love the experience - Grain Carting or anything really.

I’ve driven New Holland T5 and T7 tractors as well as a John Deere 6155r along with a 30m sprayer. I also hold a Class 2 HGV Licence plus ADR (inc. Tanks) as I used to drive fuel bowsers to refuel aircraft.

Although as mentioned my arable experience is limited, I have worked on a farm as a milker of 220 cows.

I currently live on the Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire border (6 miles from Oxford), but am frequently back “home” in the Midlands around Tamworth so either place would be great.

I appreciate it’s probably a long-shot, but I would love to get involved. Long hours don’t...

Hi I'm looking for something for this autumn starting from early October. I have a good amount of experience and work hard. I'm 23 years old, and have a full clean licence and teleporter ticket.
Experience includes, Bale handling, Potato store management, quality checks on incoming potato's and outgoing, grain carting, cultivations, subsoiling, ploughing, topping, basic workshop skills eg. Tyre changing, filter changes and other things. Other experiences are maize, spud, beet, Bale carting, Telehandler operations, using dumpers and chainsaw work.

Due to a staff member returning to his family farm, we require a person to work alongside others on our 32,000 bird unit. It was built in 2017 and is a multi tier system. A very modern and tidy unit with excellent previous flock performance. It will involve all aspects of work, which will be physical and dusty. There will be times when you will be expected to work on your own and occasionally on our arable farm as well. Basic week hours plus alternate weekends. This position could be filled by an apprentice or gap year student looking for experience if interested. We are based in Lincolnshire. No accommodation provided.

The successful applicant would be involved with livestock husbandry and all aspects of a modern free range working farm, maintaining the latest multi tier systems and automated egg packing and stacking equipment, as well as daily record keeping.
