Thanks Nearly. We had ours accessed from plans but came up short. The oil fired boiler may have to be backed up with something green!
You have made a great investment with yours. Well done.
Were they just the working plans or did you decide to add more insulation at the last minute? ;)

We are starting our PD and the L council are adamant that you can't have them in a PD and we aren't in a ANOB or anything similar. Not the end of the world but as i travel around there are plenty of barn conversions with them.

We have more insulation than you can shake a stick at apart from the floor where only 3" of celotex is used to save height. This may need improving.

You do realise that you can shop around for your building inspectors. It does not have to be your local department for there are national companies reasonably priced to do site visits/verify building regs etc.

Tell them to back their assertions with references to the relevant regulations the prohibit the use of upvc.
