Shipping Container Suppliers

Aye-up,

Can anybody recommend a good company to supply me with a 20ft container?

I'm after one ply lined with lights and electric sockets fitted. I saw one a while back but the occupier didn't know where it had come from.

I would rather go by recommendation than send money off and risk nothing arriving!

Cheers, Pete.

Whoever you get them from make sure you specify an anti condensation paint to the ceilings (and walls). Makes a huge difference, I have an unheated one that is used for paperwork storage and it's very good.

@Cab-over Pete , sadly I cannot make a recommendation, but it appears that you’ve got plenty of names to go through. All I will say, we recently ordered a container, I left dad to it......he ordered from Cargostore, found them in the nfu magazine iirc, they certainly talked the talk, but turned out to be a right bunch of to$$er, the purchase left a rather bitter taste, to say the least! .....so, one to avoid......

Ok, thanks for that @Shovelhands

I’ve called three of those above and they said they would prepare quotes.

I’ve also spoken to a firm that are not far from here. I hadn’t heard of them before. They are finding a few for me to go and see and chose the one in my price range. They seem very helpful and I always like to support the most local even if there’s a few quid more to pay.

Thanks all. TFF strikes again.

After the recent fiasco we’ve had, I’d just go for a new one, a secondhand one will always need attention, unless the firm your buying from will fully paint it and make a proper job of it?
