7810 used to be a big tractor.

An 8340 will walk all over a 7810 and drag it backwards - not really fair to compare the two as they are not equivalents. They are two totally different tractors and engines.
The 78 is 100 hp and the last 8340 were 130 - many were pushing out 150hp and some even more and it's a heavier tractor. A day spent in both is also like night and day.
