We did tried emptying our front hoppers by disconnecting the rear seed hose and blowing it straight into a bag as you have and we wrecked both of the hyd fan motors . To much back pressure I think .

Has anyone had good results direct drilling grass into grass and stubble with a GD. Thinking of looking at one
Got fantastic result grass into spring wheat stubble this year, chopped straw.

Yes I did paraplough it first after spreading muck and lime will get some pics when the fog clears

Gonna leave it till spring, probably knapsack it out.
That looks really good, what chemicals have you used so far?
It's only 2.5 acres so it's had the same as the rest of the beans.
Glyphosate, propyzamide, nirvana.
Hoping that'll be it, until some fungicide in spring.

We went for the 3m this year to try, see how we get on, try different things etc and we are pleased with the results. The barley and wheat look good. So we are thinking of upgrading to a 6m GD. Any folks on here got the solid tyres? We did get a few punctures which where a bit of a pain!

I notice that weaving only make a mounted 3m now, the wider drills being trailed. Anyone know why they stopped the 4 and 4.8m mounted? Too heavy? Issues?

They made me a 4m last summer so they will still make them I think it's because they are very heavy and lack down pressure a little. But I honestly think that if it can't get into the ground then it's too hard.
