What are GD drills like to maintain? Technical and parts backup?

I had a demo on Monday with a 2 year old 8m show stand model and was very impressed.

Parts backup is good.
Ordered some spares one day, came next.
Technical is also good, guy who installed mine is on the end of the phone if I need help.
I'm impressed.

Was interested in buying one but was insulted with px offered , hard to deal with someone who thinks their machine is the only one worth having and your one is only scrap

You're lucky to be offered anything I reckon
Not many ( dealers or manufacturers ) would consider doing a PX on any cultivation or planting equipment, they don't really want to do it with tractors either really ( that's why they offer significant no trade discounts ) Second hand planters are generally either sold privately, or via consignment through a dealers yard

Dealer would be looking for more than double than what I was been offered

I've been buying, using, selling & buying planting equipment since 1994 ( 6 planters so far ) & it wouldn't even occur to me to ask for a trade in ( PX ) . . .
Different worlds I suppose . . . ?

K - Hart in the US are building a modified Weaving GD row unit. A firm in WA is mounting them on locally built frames / toolbars, but none have made over here to the east side of the country yet ( it is about 3000 km ).
Been talking to them, be keen to see one in action
