How much wheat can I get in a 60x80 grain store ?

As above. How much wheat can you store in a 18m wide by 24 m long grain store 9 feet deep , Alpha block dividing wall down the middle.

My fag packet calculations

Each full bay is 6 m 17m x 3m = 306 cubic m
(1m lost due to central retaining wall )
306x 76 kg/ hl is 232 tonnes


232 x 3.4 bays ( 0.6 of a bay due to slope at front. ) = 790 tonnes


Am I far out ?

Spot on. Just be aware that if it is only 9ft deep (2.7m), total tonnage drops to 710 tonnes...

is it 18m wide? normally measured to outside of posts (2x50cm) and panels (2X15cm). so 16.7m actual. that 1.3M lost (x48m) = 50tonnes

Spec the steel and 3m walls to retain a 6m peaked loading, and fill it by automated conveyor.

Just doing the maths
If 3 metre deep gives 750 t then 4m deep gives 1000t but you may have a better calculator

Nothing to with the maths, it’s pushing it up to 4m that will be the issue.

Every grain store we’ve built has 4 metre panel walls but I’ve never seen them when it’s harvest

Ours has 4m panels and is mostly top filled with a conveyor, but have just about reached 4m with a 7m jcb and 8’ pusher. A longer pusher would make it easy.

You need a 6m pusher ideally,ours gets to 4m comfortably on a similar JCB.

Get a elevator it cost very little to go deeper with grain as against area
I’ve some 25ft deep
