DFF always did a nice job on BLWs. Same as reduced rate defy or even the picolinafen products.
first time Ive added it to crystal, and there is very little sign of any blw apart from a very occasional cleaver which I doubt the atlantis will do, they look pretty sick but given the weather they might recover, perhaps I ought to use axial and some hurler instead

Starane is about the cheapest and one of the best for knocking linseed over. CMPP does it if you want other weeds too.
And on this sort of subject. Sugar beet ground keepers etc. I know lots of things kill them predominantly SUs but what would provide quickest knockdown and them not regrow from? Thinking of BVDV risks.

Anyone felt brave n cut the adigor rates when used with axial ?

That would be like putting bald tyres on an expensive car! The oil in Adigor is a component that is needed to help it work. You must use Adigor with the straight Axial. Label says 0.5% of spray volume but 1% where you're less than 200 l/ha. Legally, there's nothing to stop you using some Adigor and topping up to 1% with another cheaper methylated oil. ;)

Is this old stock Axial? The new stuff has the oil built in, I think. No label recommendation for an adjuvant with Axial Pro.

They fall over fairly quickly to a sniff of metsulfuron. They seemed to when drifting from a cereal crop next door... I've never tried using hormones to take out beet volunteers but Starane does kill fat hen which is the same plant family as beet - no guarantee that it would work. If you've got linseed and beet, try the fluroxypyr and let us know how you get on. High rates of fluroxypyr do nail potato groundkeepers in cereals at less cost than Shield, though I've not priced any lately.

Axial pro does have the label rec for additional adigor in certain situations and also the lady who was giving us a talk about the new axial saud they now allow the inclusion on other MSO.

Personally when using old axial I would cut the rate of the axial but always keep the adigor at max!!!!
