What was the story with Zetor in Ireland?
There were 3 dealers within an hour of here , one was very successful selling Zetor but there was talk that there was disagreement between the importers and dealers leading to the dealers moving to other brands .

We had an 8011 16mph flat out, pick up hitch impossible to see and if you didn't lift dead straight it would miss the catches. Would pull a house down though and you just couldn't kill it.
That importerhas parted company with Zetor , and now concentrates now on the construction plant end of things.
At least 3 of the dealers , 1 from my part of the country , and another from yours , are now importing cleanish S/H New Hollands from the continent for resale.
Zetor have got too expensI've, relative to other brands .

I recall once on an icy day a nieghours 4wd johm deere could get up his road
The old 6911 yoked on the front sailed up no problem with 80% worn tyres. She was a hardy old bitch.

One of the oldest established Zetor dealers in the UK has very recently stopped selling them and started selling Armatrac. In his heyday in the 1960's he probably sold as many Zetors annually single-handed than Zetor UK sold nationwide last year, or very near.

Yes and the new dealer appointed in the area by Zetor UK has already sold several units proving the correct decision has been made , as a product we are a good straight forward unit that has bags of power and torque back up way in excess of any competitors , get them in a work situation against the competition and Zetor wins hands down every time , Look at the full picture when purchasing , we can not raise the spec and quality without it affecting the price !!!!!!!!!!!

2 things bother us about zetors
No1 they are a bit light on the rear when coupled to a loader.
No2 the engines seem to get a bit shagged after 6000 hrs

The pulling power and torque of the Zetor engine is very well noted among Zetor users, the competition is all the other manufacturers no matter how large or small !!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out the Zetor website and take a look at the dealer map for Ireland , you will see the dealers we have on board with stock in their yards , trained technicians and stocked with parts , We have had a lot of work on in Ireland and are getting it turned with the assistance of some great dealers !!!!!!!!!!!!
I am hoping that my ageing 8540 will be on a boat before too long, heading back to Eastern Yurrup. I'll be sad to see it go after 21 years and a lot of hard work, but just getting a bit too tired now. Most of it's life as an arable tractor!
Would have another one tomorrow, BUT, cannot justify a modern Zetor at their price slot...
Going to look at an Armatrac next week, and also one of the larger Kioti tractors, who like Kubota, have started to move out of the amenity and compact tractor range. Only concern on the Armatrac is depreciation, but at my age, maybe not that important...

I have had Zetors here since 1976, everyone bought new. Traditionally they were kept for 3 years or 1800-2000 hrs and chopped in for a new one... This was because after 3 years, all the lock washers, seals and what have you seemed to pack up!

Would you not consider something like a 5060 NH? Good tractor, willing engine and Fiat heritage but with a better cab.
TBH, no. I know next to nothing about the NH range... Other than I was less than impressed with the local Dealers a couple of years ago when asking about a bit of kit they were selling... Probably not fair on teh range, but having had a look at the one you mention, it's probably a bit more than I actually want in both cost and hp.
