Enough room for 6 Collies too!

Yep, those massive wheelarches inside the cab were so good.,Two labs I had spent many a long hour keeping me company on them. A child seat fitted nicely one one too ;)

I still remember our loader in THE winter of 81/82. THe tractor was left running continually for what must have been 2 weeks, as the fuel tank was partially in the heated cab it kept the fuel warm and avoided the problems of waxing diesel at temps of -32C!!

I saw that in Ireland in the late 70s!! 3 big owd fellas piled out of the cab at the local bar in a small village in Mayo...:D

The tractor purely as a farm vehicle is something of an Anglo American peculiarity. Think of all those funny old continental tractors with rails on the mudguards for passengers to hold on to or the fact that the Zetor had a passenger seat, it wasn't thinking ahead but an acceptance of standard practice in how tractors were used in rural communities. Ireland was no different and large families would arrive at mass all clinging to the back of the tractor

The father bough a new Zetor in 78 it came with two speed hydraulics high speed for loader work low speed for everything else compressor land drive it was way ahead of its time when I bought a new one in 07 the only thing extra compared to completion was probably fed braking done by prop shaft disk brake. Then the hsx came and that must have been built by accounts as no fwd braking the transmission had a huge pause before taking drive up and eco 540 was restricted in hp that could be put through and the steering wheel would vibrate like mad when engine was under load only improvement was lighter clutch swivel mudguards and an extra gear That was the end as the local dealer had other brands and bought them instead I say 95% of that dealers customers just switch away from zetor
Who ever signed off on that hsx design well finished Zetor sales and weakend the company big time
