It's the med book.....".does not correlate "
If you milk record you might have a medicine book as part of the system. I use Dale Farm’s Dairy Herd Management (which is run by CIS) and it has a very good medicine book linked to the herd data. All my animals are on it even youngstock and males. I vaccinated cows for Lepto and BVD this week and the 'paperwork' took a couple of minutes. You can pull out the drug you used and it'll show on what animals it was used on along with the withdrawal dates, or you can pull out an individual animal and show all the treatments it has received. RT are happy with it the 4 inspectors I've had since I was 'encouraged' to do RT all said they'd never seen it before. I wouldn't like to do it manually again!

We use Farmwizard and their mobile app, and I agree with you, you'd never go back to pen and paper.

I started using herdwatch in the spring. Only niggle is it's having trouble picking up new medicines with the code scanner, which is part of the point of it.

Farmwizard's scanner can be a bit hit or miss too. A lot if the time I just take a pic of the batch no. and refresh the batch on the laptop
