do you have vat and gst .
if so we will have to suck it up
We have federal GST and then the total is added up and then we pay a provincial GST on the total. Our biggest complaint in this province is that the roads are constantly being repaired. They are abysmal, but the repair work is endless-the road closures, bridge closures , detours, are causing enormous amounts of traffic everywhere , even the remotest corners. The frustrating thing is that numerous projects will be started at once , so you go from detour to detour, and then it takes months or years to finish. We have two seasons really here: Winter and construction. To compound the problem we have a MANDATORY 2 week ‘construction holiday’ at the end of July when no work is allowed to be done. It is nuts. Its the driest time of the year and many don’t work at all in the winter- why not mandatory holidays for dairy farmers who work all year? Have a fund set aside for relief milkers to move from farm to farm?

Road not maintained.

Road impassable when wet.

Caution: dustbowls.

All signs I’ve seen in various countries that don’t have paved roads. And before UK folks say they have many roads during floods that are impassable when wet, keep in mind we get like 6” of rain in a summer. When roads are impassable here, it’s not because of the water, it’s the mud ?

There’s also the ones that say “Warning: No fuel for next X00’s of kms” Not as much to do with road conditions as with planning ahead.
I saw one of those no gas for a couple of hundred kms past Golden BC when I was driving to my sister’s place near Invermere from Calgary airport in a snow storm with a migraine. i was definitely going the wrong way. That wasn’t my best road trip.

Oh dear :ROFLMAO:

You don’t see those gas signs as much now as you used to. Up north you will.

However some places it does pay to know the gas stations schedule. In the small town I graduated in the one gas station was closed on Monday’s and the other was a UFA cardlock. I remember a guy stopping for gas Saturday night and asking where the station was. At that point there wouldn’t be one open until Tuesday and the next closest one was an hour away. No sign has warned him an hour before that it was at least two hours until he’d be able to fuel up.

The dairy farmer couple in this are family friends. They also supplied the same milk company. The series was being filmed last year as a camera crew had followed them to the milk company xmas lunch. They have just recently sold all their permanent water entitlement and decided to sell their cows. I dont know how long the show filmed them for. It's going to be pretty sad watching it..

“Dry weather road only” in SA on the worse dirt roads.

“Unsuitable got motors” all over the place here once you cross the Tamar, but that’s mostly to confuse the tourists!

I think finding reverse (or a passing spot in a narrow lane) can be enough to confuse some...

How's the rowing going. Are you back up to match fitness yet?

Too true! I did have to reverse a tourists car for them the other day. They only had to go back about 50 yards but after they hit the hedge for the second time I thought it might safer if I did it for them. He was very grateful![emoji57]

No competitions for me this year. Season is about to finish with the county championships in Newquay this weekend, but we have a wedding so, even if I was fit, I couldn’t go. It’s nice to be on the water though. Winter training will start in Oct which means bloody cold, early mornings on the water, but if it’s a nice day it doesn’t get much better!

Oh yes i probably would

But Thankfully my mrs is a good chicken cooker :sneaky:
The only way to eat chicken apart from a whole roast is to get some chicken breast, slice to around half inch (13mm) thick. Then marinade in natural yoghurt with optional spices and bbq or pan fry with a tad of oil.

Because of the yoghurt it stays succulent and it’s a piece of pee to cook.
