Tax Relief Claims - why is the Agriculture Sector not claiming ?

I've made successful R&D claims before - I spoke about this briefly at the BASE conference last year, its a relief that its seems very few farmers take advantage of
Would that be because it’s taking advantage of some poorly written rules ??
Would these companies pay back their fees if a successful court case was brought be hmcr ???
I do know of companies successful in reclaim tax but not to sure they sleep easy at night

Not at all - its a tax break that exists to support innovation and business growth. It exists because our government wants to increase productivity. It is in no way "dodgy" or poorly written rules

Thank you, the high yield and consistent quality is a regular expectation of the customer today, irrespective of the obstructions you face due to weather, herbicide restrictions etc.The levels are set by the customer
and farmers must keep developing their processes, equipment and products to overcome the challenges. This is achieved in their farming methods, product development, management of pests using bespoke sprays, reducing carbon footprint, reducing nitrates in the water table, sub-contracting specialists etc.etc. to achieve the consistent quality and yield needed. These development activities are examples of what is claimable, please feel frere to contact me to discuss your personal situation.
How do I overcome this, buy a submarine?

Well, that was kind of my point. If you get to claim tax relief on ag buildings as if they're purchases of plant and machinery, using the £200k annual investment allowance, surely that's got the potential to sting you if you need to sell up in a hurry?

Research =what crop ,what markets ,diversification etc is it under that banner?

Development = putting into practice, sowing crops , going into a diversification or renewable possibly is it?

Then how to calculate all of this into figures and implement into your accounts is it and then" angle", to get relief of The Revenue???

Yes it would - when you improve, develop, test, use new processes ( management ), new herbicides, and use new equipment, which are all activities your Direct Drilling could require. You should get in touch and we can discuss your specific situation.

Surely Tax relief only works when there is a Tax to pay?

So those that are fortunate enough to be in a position to have generated a tax (from profits) can take advantage of the relief, while those that didn't carry on struggling!

Or are the laws on Corporation Tax different, hence this is why this relief is only available to Ltd Liabilities?
