Engine driven, remote controlled slurry pump sets.

Considering purchasing one of the above - probably new machine. Tramspread, Storth, Gissing. Looking for opinions on the various makes, potential pitfalls or problems, possible secondhand availability.
Up to 1500m from lagoon to furthest field, separated dirty water rather than slurry, potential problems over direct line of sight between tractor and pump but all on one site.
Thanks

Depends what u want I suppose. That distance should pose any problems, if you want simple then yes Richard Wilkinson’s would be good start, I think if 1500 is the max u won’t need cornel pump like speedstar, the others nearly all use FPT engines as new. Def better choice than a Deere engine. Make sure you compare like for like. Some might try and push second hand engines on you, you’ll do very well to find a used set for sale, and I’d recommend a pressure gauge on outlet of pump so u know that the pump is definitely pumping or not as case might be,

Any other questions I’ll try and answer. I’m running a storth pumpset with Sil vision IV remote control,

There a second hand Cornell pump set come up for sale as one of there .users has gone out of business, but you're right a doda or bauer will have work well with the OP, new engine is the way to go FPT are hard to beat and good on fuel

I had a good chat with the Gissing guys at LAMMA and follow up calls since. They seem to be a step or two ahead of the others in terms of remote control tech and maintaing signal contact in diificult terrain. Probably could describe their set as more 'workman-like' wuth fewer panels but 5 year warranty is attractive. Criman pump - comments(?).
Tramspread looks well thought out and a good company to deal with and think Ive found a unit working local to me to have a look at. Storth - looks well put together and people talk highly of them. Ill check out the Bauer.

I think are on the same frequency as Sil but they say they use better modems. At 1500 meters I doubt youlll have many issues unless tucked right in a hovel! Then it just means maybe mounting a permanent arils to a shed to connect to.

Depends a lot on the lay of the land I’ve only had mine not work once when I was at one end of a field kinda tucked lower than a big hedge and canal 1500m from the pump but moving out into middle of the field it was fine I’m going to put a controller I can text on mine aswell just as a failsafe I’ve heard the system storth use (SIL) doing the same thing so it’s just one of them things
