Anyone hazard a guess of what id get for this machine if i sell it? Cost £6200. 3months old only done 5hrs work.

Its not really agreeing with me, even if i sort the snapping bolts its still very heavy and is making quite a few furrows with the even after a dry spell.

3 ton digger with thumb is actually quicker.

We have a Mconnel Rhino here - 3 chains and built like a mine clearing flail - literally it bounces off rock and tree stumps and has done so for 6 years without issue - it doesn’t need a shear bolt as the chains are not fixed blades and they just give way and bounce off any inanimate object. I would go as far to say that it doesn’t even need a clutch either as it has never slipped since we have had it despite being badly abused.

I’ve done loads of this cutting work, if not too much stone then blades are far more effective. Cuts everything clean, uses very little diesel in 1000 rpm 1500 rpm (160 hp). Faster and more efficient than excavator mulchers. They are better for the really heavy stuff. 2 inch is nothing for blades, they should go through that like butter. I would say a twin plate slip clutch is essential. Not dear aftermarket. I run an old spearhead 3000? Twin rotor on blades. Is has a destroyer pto and slip-clutch. Seen some wild jobs but only broke one shaft so far, strong and light And very productive.
