I nearly had a run up,and would have been tempted to wave my hand a bit at £73 for those.

Think it's my face puts buyers off, I'm needing a pretty young female to help me on sale days 😂

As MaCleary sometimes says from the rostrum "whats up Tony, are they too big for you? " :ROFLMAO: If JE wasnt buying, thats a bit more worrying. He will know as good as anyone about future fat price.

He was struggling to get the prices out never mind talking to buyers - choking/coughing quite a bit at the start

Ive not noticed much difference. As soon as the first store lamb sales start,he is in action.I dont think he is the kind of guy who travels to a sale just to enjoy the scenery on route. :) ......................like i

No maybe not but as the year progresses the % of the sale heading to him increases a lot

We are all in trouble if it slips farther.

It hurts but isn't a disaster where it is today. But if good 30-35kg Texels drop into the £60's there won't be many getting sold

The price of cull ewes - clear out your flocks and keep ewe lambs instead!
Will be very interesting seeing what Hexham is like on Friday.I just cant see 30kg-35kg Texels being much under £80,if at all...............................could be wrong though.

any reports from Builth 1 yesterday , ?

Up and down, with a lot fewer of all breeds there, probably as a result of last year’s disaster of an early sale.

I heard Texels were struggling, and crossbreed even more so, for all but the best, but not many ‘good’ ones there of either tbh.

Charollais were variable, the best yearlings being generally £7-900, some poorer ones not making the £300 upset. A lot of the lambs went unsold I think, unless they were fancied by breeders.

Champion (Foulrice shearling) made 1600gns, res champ (lamb) made 1000gns. I bought a shearling at 1200, and I saw another yearling at 1100.
