I put a steinbauer box on our tractor, only for 2 days. Now uses oil and smokes which it never used to do, and not long after taking the box off, I noticed a whistle coming from the engine..... founf out that half of the exhaust manifold bolts had sheared off
Will never use a chip box again.

They can only take so much. Re mapping can knacker them up too as at the end of the day you are asking for more from the engineI put a steinbauer box on our tractor, only for 2 days. A mate of mine is on his second steibauer chipped Case, previously a 110 and now 115 and is very happy with the results.
Maybe as the smallest in the ranges there’s more room to tune them than the ones at the bigger end

Well ordered 10K red at 99.99pI was priced £1.025 for 10k red.
I want to buy under the magic.£1.
They said expecting to drop 3p over 24hrs so I shall wait.
If it does I shall probably only buy 5k with the proviso that if it falls further I can add 5k more to the delivery.
Patients might be a dangerous gamebut so far I am£750 cheaper than from where I started and that will pay for 2 tractors to have a boost to save an extra 10% fuel..(possibly)

You have a point. I try not to order on a Monday incase they are busy from folks running low.
Also I order in the morning as in the afternoon tankers may be filling up for the delivery day .
Quantity makes a big difference.
The company I ended up buying from was the dearest when I started my enquiries a week ago
But patience and luck go a long way

Same here, ordered some @ 1.06/litre red, I did explain some are ordering at £1 and less, no good it did me, so I only ordered a bit to keep the wheels turning.
