With me it's more like "please please please start. I'm in a bit of a hurry, and yes I should have probably put a trickle charger on you or disconnected the battery or something else sensible, but right now I need to go spraying and I can't waste the next hour dikking around with boosters, wire brushes, jump leads, multimeters, towing you out of the back of the shed so i can get to the battery, etc etc"!
Usually followed by swearing and a hunt for the booster pack.

I’m not looking for a fight here but I’m going to say I think it’s time to leave olly alone on this thread it’s getting a bit much now imo I bet my bolocks none of you would like the abuse he receives if it were aimed at your son/brother/grandson he’s a young lad doing what he thinks is right and it’s obv working for him and his target audience. You all are better than this it wouldn’t stand if you were openly attacking a fellow tff member on a thread (for all we know he is a member) so sees it all.

He makes a rod for his own back though....Today, says uses a dedicated bucket for his wood chip to not contaminate boiler (fair enough), but then proceeds to push chip outside into the Manitou bucket with his muck scraper ffs
And then says gator hasn't been going for 5 months....What? because of battery terminals? And that also seems to be the reason for trading it, except they wouldn't take it "not going" ...So forced to fix it, and now fell in love with it again.

Having the odd poke about the 7530 or a restoration is no different to what anyone would say to him in real life and it builds character but when it becomes a personal attack it then loses its humour and serves no purpose except to make others feel better about themselves.
As I've said before, it's just a bit of entertainment and if you're not entertained, turn on to something else.

Olly does himself no favours, as I’ve said before, there’s an arrogance behind a lot of what he’s said in videos that’s rubbed people up the wrong way. Every agri YouTuber has said, or done, something daft in videos in the past but don’t get ripped to shreds the way Olly does and there’s a reason behind that.
Examples - When talking about his contracting business he was starting he claimed “ with who I am I’ll get work “ yeah, that went well. His comment about “ once you start a YouTube channel and get 100k subs, then we’ll talk “. The disgraceful way he slated his JD dealer in a video because they dropped off a new front loader, but didn’t take away the old one… in the middle of the pandemic when they were short of staff. The best one though was asking people not to bother him at a show he was going to because he didn’t have time for that and if they want pictures or autographs he’ll organise a meet and greet

Ralf, all that is true but think of it like this:
There are people on YouTube and social media that condone and support animal abuse, there are people that declare that all farmers are murderers. There are those that use it to spread hate among various groups and minorities.
Olly is young, naive, enthusiastic and doesn't understand the real value of money or even know which way his ar$e hangs. Whether he believes a 7530 is a vintage tractor, says things without thinking or hasn't the knowledge to know and different, the bottom line is: It Doesn't Matter.
It has no impact or bearing on the deal I'm putting together or the parts for a tractor you need. It has no effect on the cost of a bacon roll that I want for breakfast or the cost of fuel in your truck. It won't make my friend get over his illness any quicker or make your mum smile any more when you send her a card.
Those that like him will watch him, those that don't, won't.
Don't get wound up by someone that has no influence or consequence on your life. Use the energy and time to make the best of the things that do.
I think olly does these things on purpose to get an audience going and it works
