I was wondering that aswel, anyone who keeps sheep should know how to deal with scab, I'm guessing muley just went for the free refreshments
You know me so well!!!! Yeah it was basically pushing that we should all be dipping and there are approved dipping contractors out there who save the need for you to have your own licences.

but yes, I went for the refreshments and a chat with the other sheep farmers

it’s slightly worrying how many sheep farmers have never dipped. Just keep using ML’s

Tbf I don’t usually learnt much at the vet meetings. If anything new and exciting in the sheep world has come out our vet rings up and tells me about it. But I’m not one to say no to free refreshments 🤣🤣 plus it stops the meetings being colonised by the folk who keep 50 ewes for a hobby if a few rough and ready commercial farmers go along too.😁 as our vet says “you aren’t afraid to answer questions, ask questions and tell someone if they are talking shite. I can’t do that to a customer!” 🤣🤣🤣

It seems almost a lifetime ago that I dipped any sheep tbh, likely over 20 years anyway.
BUT I don't buy in replacements from markets, nor stiff legged store lambs.

IF I did get scab arrive then I wouldn't hesitate to get a mobile dipper in, but I certainly not going to dip when there's no need.

I suspect that you aren’t one that’s using cydectin or Dectomax as a blanket treatment though?? To tight down there for that… 😁
