Seamus was a real gentleman.
He went from being what my wife calls one of my “ virtual friends “ to a proper one with a few visits back and forth when we could, the talk was mostly about cows and turbines and all else in between that life throws at us .His sayings were so witty at times.
Someone we would never had met only for this forum . A sad day that we cannot make the funeral…..
Different “ so called religions” didn’t make a difference between us .
A sad loss for sure.

We had some of the greatest “sectarian“ banter. And banter was all it was, and he was game for it. I was staying in the Union Jack Club in London earlier this month and sent him this…he had great wit

He was a great friend and neighbour, used to send me messages regularly saying “Tell me a story, truth optional, but make it good”

I heard he hadn’t been well. Condolences to the family.

His wit and dry humour will be missed, always made me smile,if not laugh out loud.

Such sad news to hear about Seamus. He was due to call down with me the first week of September. Talking to him about 2 weeks ago he was full of craic and hope. He hadn’t got it easy but always put others first. I feel deeply for his family.

Plenty of the year left yet for growing grass. We would always keep sowing a taste up to the cut off, and it pays back in grass grown for keeping young stock out as long as possible.
